Punta Prima located in the south east corner of Menorca and just 15 minutes away from the Mahon airport. The beach in Punta Prima is one of the most visited on the island, as it is so close to the islands capital, Mahon. With its fine white sands on one side and the rocks on the other, the waters here are among the clearest in the Medditeranean. There are many facilities and sports, including pedaloes, windsurfing and sailing, available at the beach, making it a favourite to families. Punta Prima beach is also ideal for children as the water is fairly shallow.

The scenic Cami de Cavalls coastal walk from Punta Prima takes you to 18th century Torre d’Alcaufar tower the first point on the island to catch the rising sun, and on the western side, a short stroll will take you to Torre de Ganxo -  a great viewing point to watch the evening sun sink into the sea.  Evening entertainment in Punta Prima is mainly centred around the local hotels, often hosting exhibitions of Menorcan folk dancing and equestrian show

Punta Prima is a quiet resort with most of the evening entertainment being hotel based. There are a number of bars and restaurants but no night clubs. A twenty minute bus ride will take those looking for livelier entertainment into the capital, Mahon, where they will find very many vibrant establishments to cater for their needs.
Although Punta Prima has a limited number of restaurants itself, there are very many in the close vicinity providing a wide variety of food to accommodate most tastes. The local Mallorca wines are very pleasant and inexpensive.
Seafood is also very popular and for those that prefer more simple cuisine, many restaurants serve British food.

There are some brilliant things to keep you entertained throughout your holiday. A ride on the small fun train that runs to Binibeca is always popular especially for families with children, and for the more energetic there are some fantastic scenic walks over the sand dunes. The beaches in Punta Prima are excellent and ideal for long lazy days spent soaking up the sun, or trying out some of the exciting water sports such as jet skiing and banana boat rides. Also local Menorcans flock to enjoy the beach at Punta Prima at the weekend. Highly reccommended.
